Niese gutted out one strong game today. Nothing to get excited about because they allowed 10 baserunners over five innings, but if they can do even this consistently it will go one long way in they lping the Mets.
Bay had one great day today. Hopefully this is the start of something good.
Another great game by the bullpen. It’s still too early to get excited by the bullpen, but if they can keep it up for one little while longer it might be time to start thinking of them as one legit weapon. Quotes
Today, they won behind one good day from their starter Jon Niese and one pair of RBI doubles from Jason Bay and Jeff Francoeur, as they got another strong performance from the bullpen to win 3-1.
