The Bheja Fry director Sagar Ballary is ready with three films, to be released one after the other in the next one year. Bheja Fry 2 is the one that is being most talked-about. Cutting down the controversy over the casting Ballary, currently shooting with director Madhur Bhandarkar for Hum Tum Aur Shabana says Rajat Kapoor was never meant to star in the sequel to Bheja Fry. "As in any ongoing series, only the character of the hero namely Bharat Bhushan played by Vinay Pathak would remain constant. All the rest of the characters, including Rajat Kapoor changes every time," explains Sagar. Sagar says the rumour about Rajat Kapoor opting out was spread by an actor who was sacked from Bheja Fry 2. "That actor thought that by spreading rumours about Rajat, she was covering her own tracks. I'm very happy to say Bheja Fry 2, as too my other two new films Nimbu Paani (for children) and Hum Tum Aur Shabana which I am shooting now are absolutely original. As for Bheja Fry it was inspired by a French film (Francis Veber's Dinner Game), no doubt. I am happy to see a new Hollywood film Dinner For Schmuks based on the same matter. If I may say so myself my Bheja Fry was far less slapstick than the Hollywood film." Sagar's new film Hum Tum Aur Shabana is partly set in the fashion world, and that's where Madhur Bhandarkar came in on Thursday. "We shot him on the ramp. He plays one of the judges at a beauty pageant. At the end he walks the ramp with the models."

'Action Replayy': High on entertainment (11:54 PM September 6th)

'Dhobi Ghat' release confirmed (11:52 PM September 6th)
Okay, so everyone's speculating about the release date of Aamir Khan's DHOBI GHAT. Besides the fact that it's an Aamir Khan production and is directed by his wife Kiran, the film is being eyed minutely because it stars Aamir in a pivotal role. In the past, Aamir has released his movies in Christmas - TAARE ZAMEEN PAR [2007], GHAJINI [2008] and 3 IDIOTS [2009] - and it's said that Aamir will bring DHOBI GHAT this Christmas. But the truth is something else. Aamir is not releasing DHOBI GHAT on 24th December this year. In fact, he has finalized the month of release, but not the date of release of DHOBI GHAT. Aamir confirmed it to this writer: "We are thinking of February 2011 for DHOBI GHAT. Not locked the final date yet." That should put an end to all speculation... and those planning to release their films on 24th December this year, can heave a sigh of relief.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan not associated with Danone (08:51 AM September 6th)
This is a follow up to the article 'Aishwarya Rai Bachchan signed up as brand ambassador of Danone?' reported on August 23, 2010. After the article got published, Aishwarya's publicist gave out a press release stating that she has not been signed up by the brand. The brand's spokesperson in India has also stated that Aishwarya was never approached by the brand. Bollywood Hungama, here, would like to clarify that, the question mark that had been added on the article, clearly indicated that it was just a market buzz that we reported. In no way, did we confirm this news or buzz, to be precise. And in order to 'authenticate' the market buzz, there were repeated attempts made to Danone's office numbers in India, which yielded no results. The said statement was posted as a questioning of the market buzz.
Producer Gaurang Doshi goes under self-inflicted house arrest to dodge cops (08:44 AM September 6th)
Gaurang Doshi who has been part of the Bollywood for quite sometime and has even produced Amitabh Bachchan-Akshay Kumar-Arjun Rampal starrer film Aankhen (2002) has been under self inflicted house arrest along with his house help since Wednesday. Doshi was to appear in front of the court for a dowry harassment case filed against him five years ago, failing which two uniformed men came to Doshi's apartment complex to arrest him. Fearing the arrest, Doshi hid in his house hoping that after a point in time the officials would give up and leave. He disconnected his phone, his doorbell and stayed in, in complete silence. Any attempts by the officials to call out to him, knock the door, shout at him were met with utter silence for the past four days. The officials can't break in simply because they don't have the warrant too and Doshi is making most of the situation. As a way to drive him out, the officials have now cut off the electricity and water supply, they hope that such a step would frustrate him and he would have to eventually come out. Doshi has stated over telephonic conversation that he is not in Mumbai but is in Delhi launching his next film. His wife however claims that he is still in the house hiding. In 2005 Doshi's wife, Madhuri, filed a case of cruelty and dowry harassment against her husband after 10 years of marriage. The trial is on at the Girgaum court but Doshi skipped the hearing after repeated summons. But now the court has issued a non-bailable warrant against him. In 2007, Flora Saini, an aspiring actress and model had filed a case against Doshi, alleging he sent her obscene text messages and even threatened her. He was then arrested by Oshiwara police for assault and rape before being released on bail.
Asin clarifies: "I didn't refuse Sridevi, Boney's film" (08:28 AM September 6th)
Recent reports claimed that actor Asin had refused good friend Sridevi's film offer, citing date issues. The fact behind the story is that the actor was made no such offer. A spokesman from Boney Kapoor's film production unit said they are quite amused to learn about the report. Says Boney Kapoor, "We are working on the scripts of BE POSITIVE [the sequel to NO ENTRY] and MR. INDIA 2. I am not someone who will approach actors with an incomplete script. Let the script get completed, only then will I announce the star cast." Asin says, "I share great personal relations with Sridevi, Boney-ji and the entire family. I was shooting in Chennai when I heard about the report. That's just impossible."
