When it refers to the famous Heuer Monaco, Autavia and Carrera lines, people could know that there are many distinctive watch pieces in this prestigious watch collection. And also, undoubtedly, prada handbag, for them, wedding rings for women, the most imaginary watch models are those unique timepieces which come with the "Chronomatic" symbolizing on the dial- a combination of the words "Chronograph" and "Automatic". The very first Calibre 11 watch models created in 1969 come with the Chronomatic marking on the dial, however, they were only created for a short time till Heuer replaced Chronomatic with the words "Automatic Chronograph" and modified the model name from below the hands to above mentioned the Heuer shield.
If you can get a touch with a Chronomatic Heuer, then buy it immediately and without of any hesitation- since they are crafted with a very substantial premium over the later Calibre 11 models.
I've, in recent days, been looking around the website of the late Chuck Maddox, the famous Heuer and Vintage watch aficionado. Chuck's site includes quite a lot of information, photos and articles written by Chuck up to the time of his finally passing last year. Chuck's blog is kept here? and it is well worthwhile to take the time to visit.
In looking over some of Chuck's photos I encountered a scan of a brochure from Chronosport who were the distributor of Heuer and other Chronographs watches in the UK in the 1970's. The brochure has no date, hermes bag, however, as it comes with the Chronomatic Heuer trio, it must be from 1969. What is intriguing is the pictures of the Monaco, Autavia and Carrera, which are different from any of the Chronomatic Heuers watch models that I've seen before- take a look at these scans
Notice that none of the Chronomatic watches has the model name (Monaco, tiffany, Autavia, Carrera) on the dial and has the word "Chronomatic" below than hands other than above mentioned he Heuer shield. It's difficult to ensure from the obscure images, but it also looks like the versions applied for these photos which have different second hands than the final production model.
Even thought there still a lot of questions for us to find the answer for this watch, we have to admit that this is a quite wonderful watch model. It could be somewhat interesting to hear anyone has witnessed one of these watches- or they have gone through the pre-production versions employed only for photographs? |
